Space, Time and Place for Creativity
Creativity has no borders. It is not restricted to a place or time. Nor is it limited to talent of any kind. But it can be a powerful incentive for people to gather and use their voice. Have a conversation while making marks.
Join a:
Tīma – Old English meaning time, period, space of time, season, lifetime, fixed time, favourable time, and opportunity.
Happening – An event or series of events designed to evoke a spontaneous reaction to sensory, emotional, or spiritual stimuli.
Tīma Happenings help people to connect to community by scheduling a small amount of time to meet and create.
Guelph Ontario artist Mary Kroetsch invites you to spend an hour or so with her, making marks. The Happenings are spontaneous and will happen anywhere, anytime.
You do not need to be able to draw a straight line. All you need is to commit a little time to join in.
There will be materials and lessons waiting for you. Think Pop-up creative workshop.
Happenings will occur randomly around hours that will suit any busy schedule.
There are no rules on how to create during a Happening. Bring your own project or share a project that Mary is working on. She has several projects always on the go and would love some help.
There will never be any commerce attached to Makers. We just ask that you are kind to some of our hosts and share a thank you with a small purchase.
Don’t worry about the fine print of eligibility to join in. All are welcomed!
No pressure, no strings, just little explosions of community and creative possibilities.
Join in and enjoy yourself sharing some company and conversation. And Make Marks!
