She has many stories, memories, secrets, dreams.
Her life has been exploited, celebrated, dictated, and ignored.
Overworked, underpaid, good days, bouts of depression. These are her battles.
Wife, Mother, Daughter, Friend. These are her roles.

This series is about giving voice to unknown people who identify as she/her.
It quietly shares stories about them through my fictional writings which I have recorded using my voice.
Each story has been translated into a representational visual sound wave laser cut etched onto stained raw canvas that includes some stitching acting as illustration.
The stories can be shared alongside what I call pages, with a label or quietly listened to via the QR Code, also laser cut etched.

Beatrice Ethel! You Get Your Clothes On!
Another Saturday evening entertaining callers to the Parlor.
Week after week she sat off to the side and watched her older sister receive potential suitors.
It was just so ridiculous! Tall ones. Short ones. Those with means. Penniless wanna bes! They all came.
And every week Mother made her dress up in layers of clothing that literally choked the life out of her lungs.
But the worst part of the event, was listening to her sister carry on for hours after her guests had left. Really! They were just boys!
She just didn’t see the point of all of this and decided when it was time for her to be presented to Victorian Society; she would make sure she was unavailable.
